I assess how work runs, evaluate options, design practical solutions across infrastructure, business systems, applications, and data, then lead implementation through operational ownership.

I work from the business problem outward. The right answer may be stronger infrastructure, a purpose-built application, better data and integration, automation, process improvement, or better use of technology already in place. The goal is not more technology. It is a business that operates with less friction, clearer information, and stronger ownership.

ShiftFlow

Replacing a legacy Access-based shift scheduling system in an active chemical manufacturing plant.

A chemical manufacturing plant ran shift scheduling on a Microsoft Access application that had been in continuous production use for over 20 years, with no documentation and no one left who fully understood how it worked. It was fragile by nature: performance issues and functional bugs were a recurring cost of doing business, absorbed by Operations because there was no real alternative.

That fragility became a forcing function. Scheduling broke in production, and diagnosing the failure meant reverse-engineering undocumented VBA line by line under time pressure, with Operations unable to schedule shifts until it was resolved. It was the kind of incident that makes the actual cost of "we'll deal with the legacy system later" impossible to ignore.
